VirtualAutoedU

VAU is finnish for WOW! And this is often the first thing students say when they start studying with VirtualAutoedU. The system is designed to take the students gradually from learning the basic theory behind things to doing the actual work. This is done in four distinctive steps:

1. Look

The students experience the theory behind a given subject by seing how it works. This can be anything from a being inside a running engine or seing how power transfers from each gear to the next one inside a transmission.

2. Try

Next step is to do a given job phase by phase inside virtual reality with VAU guiding the player through each step. If there are parts of the car that are new to the students, they are taken through the purpose, structure and function of each part in the best way imaginable.

3. Do

Then it is time for the first true triumph when the student is given the same task but without the instructions. Once they can complete the task with a limited amount of errors, they are taken to the final phase.

4. Execute

At this point the student puts on overalls and starts to grease their fingers, as they are given the task to complete the same assingment in real life on a real car. To make things familiar the car is the exact same model as in VAU and every part not only looks the same, but also works the same way so at this point they already know what comes next.

Here is a short preview of what the game looks like.
